Influencer gifting post rate: realistic ranges

How many micro-creators actually post after a gifted package? Working ranges for D2C brands — not guarantees — and how to plug them into a ROI calc.

Observed ranges

There is no universal number. Rates vary by vertical, product value, brief clarity, and follow-ups. The ranges below are orders of magnitude from desk research and D2C field feedback — not a proprietary Seedlane study.

Use them as calculation hypotheses, then replace them with your real rate after 30+ sends.

  • 30–45%: cold gifting, vague brief, few follow-ups
  • 45–65%: clear brief, D+7 / D+14 follow-up, aligned product
  • 65–80%: existing relationship, deadline, sometimes a light contract

How to calculate your rate

Post rate = “Done” cards (post URL) / “Product shipped” cards over a 30–45 day window.

Exclude packages still in transit. A ghosted creator counts as not posted — that's the real program cost.

Levers to raise the rate

Before you scale volume, tighten the process:

  • 3-line brief (format, deadline, mention)
  • Structured follow-up at D+7 and D+14
  • A product the creator would actually use
  • An “awaiting post” view — not a forgotten Excel tab

Plug these hypotheses into the gifting ROI calculator
