Follow up with micro-influencers who didn't post after gifting

A shipped package without a post is product + logistics cost with no return. This guide proposes a professional follow-up cadence — without harassment — for brands running gifting in-house.

Why gifting posts are delayed

Micro-creators receive multiple packages weekly. Forgetting your product isn't always a rejection: life, algorithm, or simple deprioritization.

Structured follow-up increases post rate without damaging the relationship — if you have a clear "awaiting post" list.

Signals you should follow up

In your pipeline, filter creators who combine:

  • Shipped 7+ days ago (adjust by vertical)
  • No post URL logged
  • No reply to last message
  • No spontaneous brand mention (if you monitor @brand)

Recommended follow-up cadence

Three touches over 14 days is reasonable for non-contract gifting:

Log each contact on the creator card so two people don't nudge the same handle.

  • D+7: short message ("did you receive the package?")
  • D+10: gentle reminder + soft deadline if seasonal campaign
  • D+14: polite close or move to "ghosted"

After 14 days without a post

Archiving as "ghosted" clears your active view without deleting history — useful to avoid re-inviting the same creator by mistake.

  • Keep SKU and ship date to calculate cost of missing posts
  • Export CSV for quarterly leadership reporting
